Anthony Davis was at his dominant best as he recorded 46 points to lead the New Orleans Pelicans to a road victory over the Los Angeles Clippers.
Davis made 16 of his 34 shots, including two of his five attempts from three-point land, to power the Pelicans to a 121-117 win. He added 16 rebounds, four assists, three steals and a block.
Davis missed his first five shots of the game before converting an offensive rebound with 3:26 left in the first quarter to end an 11-0 run by the Clippers but caught fire after making a three-point play and finishing off a fast-break with lay-up (even though he'd lost a shoe) in the final minutes of the first half.
Davis took over the game at both ends in the second half, connecting on a three from the top of the key and nailing a jump hook before swatting away an attempted finish at the rim from Clippers sixth man Lou Williams.
Another jump hook and a second three-pointer took Davis past 40 points for the seventh time this season as the Pelicans held on for victory.
