Joel Embiid posted a 26-point, 20-rebound performance as the Philadelphia 76ers ended the Golden State Warriors' 11-game winning streak.
Embiid did not enjoy the most efficient night, connecting on just eight of his 24 shots, but his 11 third-quarter points allowed the Philadelphia 76ers to build a lead and hold off the Warriors 113-104 in a match-up of two of the NBA's best teams.
A three-pointer by Stephen Curry, who poured in 41 points on the night, got the Warriors within 106-101 with 2:49 to play but Embiid countered with four consecutive clutch free throws before JJ Redick clinched the Sixers' win with 23.1 seconds left.
Embiid's performance marked the second time this season he has posted a 20-20 game. He scored 41 points and pulled down 21 boards in a December loss to the Indiana Pacers.
