Oklahoma City star Russell Westbrook has been suspended one game without pay after drawing his 16th technical foul of the season during Saturday's 110-88 home loss to Golden State.

The point guard was held to just seven points against the Warriors, which led to several emotional outbursts before Westbrook eventually picked up his latest technical with 3:29 remaining in the second quarter.

NBA executive vice president of basketball operations Kiki VanDeWeghe announced the punishment Sunday, and Westbrook will sit out Monday's game against the visiting Miami Heat.
