Dwyane Wade's 'Last Dance' produced another highlight as the three-time NBA champion drained a buzzer-beater from inside his own half in the Miami Heat's road win over the San Antonio Spurs.
Wade's season-long NBA farewell tour has seen him swap jerseys with opposition players, receive gifts honouring his illustrious career and, as he has done for 16 seasons, make huge - and often unorthodox - shots.
Wade ticked all three of those boxes against San Antonio. Before the game, he was presented with signed Tim Duncan, Tony Parker, and Manu Ginobili jerseys by Spurs coach Gregg Popovich as a retirement present.
With the Heat leading 87-78 with 3.2 seconds left in the third quarter, Wade produced his highlight of the night. He inbounded the ball to team-mate Hassan Whiteside following a Spurs basket.
Whiteside dished the ball straight back to Wade who, with 2.0 seconds left on the clock, took a dribble and two steps before launching a shot from well inside his own half. His effort swished through the Spurs' net as the buzzer sounded to end the quarter.
Wade, who scored 11 points on the night, came up big in the fourth quarter too, hitting a bank shot to build the Heat's lead back to five points following a San Antonio rally.
With Miami on top 108-105, Wade stole the ball from DeMar DeRozan with 9.1 seconds left. Kelly Olynyk then converted a pair of free throws to cement a 110-105 win for the Heat.
After the game, Wade swapped jerseys with Spurs DeRozan having added another memorable chapter to the story of his final NBA season.
