Kevin Durant goes coast-to-coast to ram home a vicious one-handed slam in the Golden State Warriors' rout of the Denver Nuggets

Kevin Durant went coast-to-coast to score with a vicious dunk as the Golden State Warriors meted out a 116-102 beating to the Denver Nuggets.

Durant was in blistering scoring form, posting 21 points in 21 minutes, as the defending NBA champions dominated their closest Western Conference rivals.

Although Denver could not stop the rampaging Durant, the officials curtailed the All-Star MVP's big night, ejecting him from the game after handing him two rapid-fire technical fouls in the third quarter after he argued several calls.

Before that, Durant had provided a highlight of the night when he raced the length of the court to score with an emphatic dunk.

With two minutes left in the second quarter, Durant corralled a defensive rebound close to his own baseline following a missed Nuggets shot.

He immediately dribbled upcourt, the Denver defense on their heels in retreat as he brought the ball into their half.

Faced by Nuggets guard Will Barton as he reached the three-point line, Durant quickened his dribble, his acceleration allowing him to blow by the Denver defender and into the lane where he rose to ram home a vicious right-handed slam that brought the Warriors fans to their feet.

Despite having his night end prematurely in the second half, Durant finished the game as the Warriors' second-leading scorer. He made nine of his 13 shots, including 2-of-5 from three-point range, and six assists and two rejections, including a spectacular chasedown block on Nuggets shooting guard Gary Harris in the first quarter.
