Rookie running back Ezekiel Elliott scored an 83 yard touchdown to set up the Cowboys' 35-30 victory over the Steelers.
It has been a fantastic first season for the rookie running back, who was selected fourth overall in the 2016 NFL draft. Elliott has already scored nine touchdowns this season, and with 95 yards this evening, became only the third rookie to rush for 1,000 yards in their first nine games, following in the footsteps of Eric Dickerson and Adrian Peterson.
The Steelers represented a tough challenge for the 7-1 Dallas Cowboys, but it was Elliott's running game that proved key to the victory.
His first touchdown came after a short pass from rookie quarterback Dak Prescott. Escaping pressure, Prescott tossed the ball to Elliott who spun out to the right hand side. Avoiding a number of Steelers tackles, he sprinted down the sideline, untouched and into the end zone.
Elliott is a standout candidate for Offensive Rookie of the Year, and is still hopeful of breaking Dickerson's rookie rushing record, which stands at 1,808 yards.
