Denver Broncos Linebacker and Super Bowl 50 MVP Von Miller had some choice advice for players ahead of the Super Bowl, including how to try and stop Patriots QB Tom Brady

Von Miller knows what it takes to win the NFL's biggest prize.

The Denver Broncos linebacker was voted Super Bowl MVP after his team beat Carolina Panthers 24-10, and Miller was rewarded with a six-year, $114.5M (£91.2m) contract the following offseason.

2016 proved tougher as the Broncos failed to get back to the play-offs, their first time missing out in five years. However, Miller continued to impress individually, and was voted to the fifth Pro Bowl of his career.

Speaking with Sky Sports analyst Neil Reynolds at the event in Orlando, Florida, Miller had some advice for the Atlanta Falcons, who will take on the New England Patriots on Sunday February 5.

"The week before, when you put the game-plan in, it should be like any other week", Miller said. "Take it one day at a time and really dog it out, because Super Bowl week will have all type of distractions.

"If you're not focused on the game-plan the week before, it's going to come back and haunt you in the Super Bowl."

The Falcons last reached the Super Bowl in 1998, while the Patriots have been six times since then, winning the Vince Lombardi trophy on four occasions.

He added: "It's tough, and the stuff that worked for me - it didn't work the second time we played them! You have to take every opportunity you get.

"He's a robot, but he does make human mistakes sometimes, and you have to be able to take advantage. One or two mistakes, you have to take advantage for a chance to win the game."

When asked whether Brady was the greatest QB of all time, Miller reserved that honour for his old team-mate.

"I played with the greatest quarterback ever," he said. "It's hard for me to go against the Sheriff, and I know I'm biased but I'm gonna ride with Peyton Manning all day."
