Seattle Seahawks running back Marshawn Lynch will not face any sanctions for his erratic behaviour during Super Bowl week.

Lynch said very little during his media sessions and was also pictured in a 'Beast Mode' hat that some reports claimed was from an unlicensed source.

But that proved to be wide of the mark, the hat coming under the league's deal with New Era, while Lynch's terse answers to questions will also not be subject of any fine.

Lynch used the phrase 'I'm here so I won't get fined' during one of his mandated press conferences and then went on to tell reporters 'y'all know why I am here' in another, only ever spending the minimum time with the media before leaving.

But the league has now confirmed Lynch fulfilled all his duties during the lead up to Super Bowl XLIX, which saw him score a touchdown in a narrow 28-24 defeat by the New England Patriots in Glendale, Arizona.

"Marshawn Lynch complied with his obligation to attend all required media sessions at the Super Bowl," NFL spokesman Michael Signora said.

"In addition, there is no basis for a fine for the ('Beast Mode') hat he wore at the media sessions, which was made by and given to him by an NFL licensee, New Era, and was in team colours."
