Along with sailing partner Hannah Mills, Saskia Clark won a silver medal in this year's Olympic test event in Weymouth and Portland. She will be aiming to go one better at London 2012. The 32-year-old from Colchester, Essex, began sailing on her own aged eight, during the Royal Harwich Junior week. Her family were all keen sailors, which therefore meant that Clark had the nautical interest from a young age. She believes that her greatest strength when sailing is analysing her performance and keeping things in perspective. Having participated in her class, 470, since 2000, Clark has achieved many great feats during her career, the highlight of which in 2005 saw her take the World Silver medal. She also came sixth at the 2008 Beijing Olympics and is now hoping to make the podium in front of a home crowd.
