London 2012 hopeful Harry Aikines-Aryeetey believes his fellow British sprinters will be trailing in his wake when the outdoor season gets under way.
The former world junior and youth champion will be aiming to make his mark on the biggest stage of all this summer both as an individual and as part of the 4x100 metre relay team.
Aikines-Aryeetey finished behind Dwain Chambers and surprise package Andrew Robertson over 60m at the Aviva UK Trials and Championships in Sheffield last weekend but insists he's just using a handful of indoor meetings to improve on his start.
The 23-year-old will continue his winter preparations at the Aviva Grand Prix in Birmingham this weekend before setting his mind on the road to Olympic qualification.
He said: "It was just my second competition - when normally I would have done about four by this time - and I'm not focusing on indoors so I'm going to Birmingham just to have more fun.
"I'm using the indoors just to get my start right. I'm thinking more about the 100m so we're not focusing on the 60m."
Having battled with injuries in previous seasons, Aikines-Aryeetey underlined his Olympic potential last year by reaching the semi-finals at the World Championships and he feels he's on the right track as the countdown to London 2012 ticks down.
The powerfully-built sprinter said: "It's not so much I'm working harder than ever but everything is going right so I'm really happy.
"Being in Olympic year is giving me confidence. I know for a fact I'm fitter than ever and stronger than ever - not that I need to be any stronger - so everything is going in the right direction.
"When I hit that 60m and there's another 40 left - you're going to see me go. None of these guys will be staying with me!
"The Olympics is the main aim this year so I'm just thinking about it. Last year and the year before you couldn't. But now we can - everything is geared towards 2012."
Away from the track Aikines-Aryeetey is enjoying writing regular blogs for Skysports.com and hopes the readers are enjoying them.
He said: "I love writing my blogs - it's great fun. It's important that everyone gets to understand us and our stories this year. When they do see us on the start line at the Olympics - they know what we're about."
