Sky Sports News' very own Kirsty Gallacher carried the Olympic torch on Thursday afternoon.
The torch relay was making its way from Stoke-On-Trent to Bolton, and Kirsty held the flame as part of the Wigan leg at just after 4.25pm.
Other names who carried the torch on Thursday included Stoke manager Tony Pulis and former Olympic boxing champion Amir Khan.
In total, 135 people held the torch with many members of the public selected for their service to the community.
And our girl Kirsty says she cherised her experience of gripping the world-renowned flame.
"It was incredible," she said. "So many people came out onto the streets of Wigan and the moment when the torches kiss and the flame is passed on is quite a strong moment; you really feel part of something.
"I was apprehensive because running with the torch is a responsibility and I thought: 'Please don't trip over!' but it went really well.
"Everybody gets you in the spirit and the police were incredible; they look after you and guide you on how you pass the flame on.
"I didn't know whether I should walk or run. Lots of people have done different things and the policeman next to me said: 'Let's just run up the hill' and I just went for it!
"The conditions were perfect, especially for doing a 300metre sprint. Everybody came out and it really brought the community together. That's the idea of the torch relay.
"I want to say thank you to the people of Wigan for welcoming me; it's been an honour and I'm looking forward to taking my torch home."
