On Soccer AM...

Former England striker Dion Dublin, comedian Mark Watson and British rapper Professor Green!

It maybe the business end of the season, but don't worry because Soccer AM has a show which will be as fun and entertaining as ever! Our first guest this week is the one and only Dion Dublin! The former Manchester United, Coventry City and Aston Villa star moved into punditry after bringing down the curtain on a distinguished playing career two years ago. A Premier League winner with Manchester United, Dublin spent 23 years plying his trade at the top level, scoring 183 goals in 631 appearances. After spells with Norwich City and Cambridge United he was snapped up by United in 1992 for £1million. Despite breaking his leg in his first season at Old Trafford and only playing seven games, he was awarded a title-winners medal after receiving special dispensation from the Premier League. The following season a fully fit Dublin saw his first team opportunities restricted because of the superb form of one Eric Cantona and opted for a move to Coventry City where he established himself as one of the Premier League's top strikers. In the 1997-1998 season Dublin finished joint top scorer in the league with 18 goals - the same as Michael Owen and Chris Sutton - earning himself a move to Midlands rivals Aston Villa in the process. An explosive start at Villa Park saw him become an instant favourite with those in the Holte End as he scored an incredible seven goals in his first three appearances, including a memorable hat-trick against Southampton. Spells with Celtic, Leicester and finally Norwich followed before the former England striker decided it was time to hang up his boots. He'll be reflecting on a brilliant career, while no doubt spending the breaks talking to Max about the good old days at Cambridge United! Dion will be a hard act to follow, but we think we've got the perfect man for the job, because Mark Watson is quite simply one of the funniest men around! The stand-up comedian will be making his hat-trick appearance on the show and if his previous appearances are anything to go by we'd advice you not to be eating anything during his interview, or you might just choke with laughter! The funnyman, whose debut DVD is out later this year, has been a regular at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe, winning the first ever Panel Prize at the if.comeddies in 2006 and being nominated for Best Newcomer at the 2005 Perrier Comedy Awards. The 30-year-old, who is a regular on comedy panel shows such as Mock the Week and Never Mind The Buzzcocks, has also written two novels... we know what you're thinking and you're right; there are no ends to this man's talents! When he's not touring around the country, Mark can be seen on the terraces at Bristol City and he will be telling Helen and Max how he has viewed the Championship side's season with the team sitting comfortably in mid-table. Completing another stellar line-up will be British rapper of the moment, Professor Green! The Hackney born star's latest single, I Need You Tonight, was featured in our Premier League goals wrap a couple of months ago and on Sunday it went straight in at number three in the singles chart. Having supported the likes of Lily Allen and The Streets, it is a surprise Stephen Manderson (of course his real name isn't Professor Green), has largely remained under the mainstream's radar... until now that is. The Arsenal fan is scheduled to release his second album this year after signing a deal with Virgin Records in November last year, and he will be telling us what to expect from Alive Till I'm Dead. That wraps up this week's guests, but as ever we've got all your favourites, including Top Three Goals with Teddy Sheringham, Crossbar Challenge with Swansea, I-Iron Soldier, Skill Skool with Preston and Team Mates with Celtic duo Scott Brown and Lee Naylor! Plus, we see how West Bromwich Albion stars Scott Carson and Chris Brunt get on with our Bullseye Challenge, and Rocket Takes One for the Team after yet another mistake! So tune in to watch all the gang, plus our Arsenal fans of the week and another stunning Soccerette, 9am, Saturday on Sky Sports 1 and Sky1.
