Dual Group One winner Alice Springs is one of 10 fillies in contention for Saturday's Kingdom of Bahrain Sun Chariot Stakes at Newmarket.

Aidan O'Brien's charge broke her top-level duck with victory in the Falmouth Stakes on the July Course during the summer and while she disappointed on her next start in the Prix Rothschild at Deauville, she bounced back with a superb display in the Matron Stakes at Leopardstown.

She could renew rivalries this weekend with the John Gosden-trained Persuasive, who was unbeaten in her first five starts before filling the runner-up spot in the Matron.

There are a trio of interesting contenders from France with Jean-Claude Rouget's Ervedya joined in the entries by Freddy Head's Siyoushake and Volta from Francis-Henri Graffard's stable.

There is also a potential South African raider in the form of Smart Call.
