Prize money at Royal Ascot has broken the £5million bound barrier

The Queen's representative at Ascot described breaking the £5million prize-money barrier at the Royal meeting for the first time this year as a "real milestone".
"It is very important to us to have a significant minimum amount on offer, and we have set that at £60,000."
