Wakefield second row forward Jordan Crowther has joined League One club York City Knights on a month's loan.

Crowther, 19, who has come through the Wildcats' academy, made his Super League debut in 2014 and made seven appearances last season.

Wakefield chairman, Michael Carter said: "It is a great opportunity for Jordan to play in a very competitive league with York City Knights and we are looking forward to see how he goes over the course of the next month.

"It should give Jordan some fascinating challenges which we feel he will thrive on."
