Warrington centre Ryan Atkins faces a three-match ban after being charged with making a dangerous tackle against Widnes full-back Rhys Hanbury.
Atkins has been accused of using his body to "forcefully to bend or apply unnecessary pressure to the head and/or neck and/or spinal column of the tackled player" during Warrington's 20-18 Challenge Cup quarter-final win on Friday.
The 30-year-old now faces a ban of up to three matches if he is found guilty of the grade C offence by the Rugby Football League's match-review panel.
Atkins could miss Warrington's Super League fixtures against Hull KR, Salford and Castleford but would remain available for the Wolves' Challenge Cup semi-final against Wakefield on July 30, regardless of the panel's decision.
Huddersfield's Danny Brough also faces a ban after being charged with a grade B offence.
Brough was sent to the sin bin during the Giants' 28-16 defeat to Trinity after leaving Wakefield centre Reece Lyne unconscious following a high tackle.
Meanwhile, Catalans Dragons hooker Eloi Pelissier has been charged with a grade A offence after tripping Hull winger Fetuli Talanoa during his side's 22-8 Cup loss on Saturday.
