Hull FC Captain Gareth Ellis looks back at his side's performance against Widnes

Gareth Ellis analyses his side's emphatic 0-38 victory over Widnes Vikings at the touchscreen with Jon Wells.

Hull FC edged one step closer to the league leader's shield with their seven-try demolition of the Vikings at the Select Security Stadium on Thursday night.

Fetuli Talanoa was the star of the show as he provided three of the tries while Jordan Abdull produced a man-of-the-match display for the visitors.

After an opening 20 minutes where neither side stamped their authority on the match, Abdull started the onslaught for the Hull FC as he powered over from close range.

The game was effectively over at the break as Hull took a 22-0 lead into the changing rooms, but this didn't stop them from continuing where they left off in the second forty as the points continued to flow, taking them two points clear at the top of the Super League table.
