Former Huddersfield boss lands technical adviser position

The Rugby Football League have appointed former Huddersfield coach Jon Sharp as a technical adviser. The governing body confirmed on Friday that Sharp, who has previously been a part of the coaching set-up with Great Britain, Hull KR and Crusaders, has joined the organisation on a consultancy basis. His new role will involve advising Super League officials on playing trends in the sport and offering assistance from a coach's perspective. Sharp will also serve on the RFL's disciplinary panel. "Jon is a coach and former player with considerable experience whose contribution as a consultant will complement the work already being done at the RFL," RFL chief operating officer Ralph Rimmer said. "His presence, together with other changes that have been made internally since the end of last season, demonstrates the RFL's determination to raise the bar in everything we do."
