Chairman thinks a top-eight finish is out of reach
Hull KR chairman Neil Hudgell does not believe the East Yorkshire club will make the Super League play-offs following their defeat to Wakefield.
The Robins dropped out of the top eight over the weekend following a 31-30 loss to the in-form Wildcats at New Craven Park.
The defeat has left Craig Sandercock's men two points behind the Bradford Bulls, who occupy eighth spot, with two Super League games remaining.
Hull KR take on league leaders the Wigan Warriors on September 2 before finish their regular season fixture list against the London Broncos at the Stoop.
Influences
Hudgell is far from happy with the club's season, stating outside influences have done little to aid their cause.
"It's hard not to be disappointed. I think it's fair to say that we're out of the play-offs now," he said. "It's been a difficult year for a number of reasons.
"We've brought in a new coach who wanted to make his mark on the side, we've had injuries to key players and some unrest caused by agents."
