Super League: Widnes Vikings duo Paul Johnson and Grant Gore join Whitehaven on loan

Kingstone Press Championship side Whitehaven have signed prop forward Paul Johnson and hooker Grant Gore on loan from Widnes.
The Vikings duo did not play in Widnes’ Super League opener against Wigan last week and have moved to the Recreation Ground for the next month.
Whitehaven’s first league match of the season is against Halifax on Sunday and the pair are both expected to feature.
Meanwhile, former Hull FC and Cronulla Sharks half-back will take temporary charge of the Cumbrians following the sudden departure of coach Steve Deakin for family reasons.
Seymour, 30, joined Whitehaven in 2014 after his release by Castleford Tigers.
