Ben Pomeroy's run of consecutive appearances will come to an end at 31 after the Catalans Dragons centre was banned for a match.

Pomeroy has been virtually an ever-present since his arrival at the French club from Cronulla 18 months ago.

The 31-year-old has been banned for striking Hull KR forward Mitch Allgood during their 50-20 defeat on Sunday.

He submitted an early guilty plea to the Grade B offence and will be sidelined for Friday's trip to Hull FC.

Allgood was suspended for two games for a Grade C striking offence against Dragons star Scott Dureau, as well as being fined £300.

They were the only two Super League players to be suspended, with Hull FC's Josh Bowden escaping a ban for a Grade A charge of dangerous contact against Wigan.

Widnes Vikings players Ben Kavanagh and Danny Tickle also admitted Grade A offences of dangerous throws but were not suspended.
