Hull KR coach Chris Chester has set his side the target of winning four of their last six Super League matches to secure a top-eight spot, starting with the visit of Warrington on Friday night.

The Robins kept alive their hopes of climbing out of the bottom four, thereby avoiding the Qualifiers and a fight to avoid relegation to the Championship, when they halted a three-match losing run at the expense of Widnes last week.

But they are still two points adrift of eighth-placed Hull FC with an inferior points difference and they cannot afford to lose two more matches of the regular season if they are to retain their Super League spot at the first time of asking.

They have on-loan forward Greg Burke back from injury to replace James Green, who hurt a rib in the win over Widnes, while Maurice Blair continues at stand-off in the absence of skipper Terry Campese, who has suffered a season-ending knee injury. Winger Josh Mantellato faces a late check after going off with a neck injury last Sunday.

"It's very difficult to predict with everybody beating each other," Chester said. "It's important that we beat the teams around us

"We're confident and so should the guys be because we defended very well at the weekend and scored some exceptionally good tries.

"We'll be targeting four from six. I think that's enough to get you in that eight."

Friday's game is important too, for Warrington, who lost ground on the leading three after losing to Huddersfield last Sunday but still have their sights set on a fourth-place finish going into the Super 8s.

The Wolves are without second rower Ben Currie, who loses his ever-present record, and half-back Gareth O'Brien after both suffered blows to the head in the defeat at Huddersfield, while prop Anthony England begins a four-match ban for spitting.

Ben Westwood is back from suspension and youngsters Joe Philbin and Toby King are called up.

"Every game is a big game, that is Super League," said Wolves coach Tony Smith. "We're all very close. The changes in places happen on a weekly basis.

"There will be some big changes before the split and then you'll see even bigger changes within the eight. I wouldn't get too hell-bound over the four and eight just at the moment, in terms of predicting what the make-up is going to be.

"As long as you are in contention and there or thereabouts, I think there will be a few surprises and upsets, as we've had pretty much every round this year."
