Eddie Hemmings inducted into rugby league's Roll of Honour

Sky Sports commentator Eddie Hemmings has been inducted into rugby league's Roll of Honour for his services to broadcasting.

Eddie hosted the Man of Steel Awards dinner for the 20th and final time, and his colleagues marked the occasion by celebrating his outstanding broadcasting career in rugby league.

Eddie spent the early days in local radio covering football but he was bitten by the rugby league bug and became a correspondent and commentator for BBC radio and television.

In 1990, he joined Sky Sports and has formed a key part of their rugby league coverage. Over 25 years later he is still going strong and is preparing for his 18th Super League Grand Final.
