Former Super League star decides to retire

Former Leeds, Huddersfield and Bradford utility Marcus St Hilaire will bring down the curtain on a 17-year career at the end of the season. The 34-year-old, who has seen out the last four years of his career with Championship side Oldham, has played more than 300 competitive games. He played in the inaugural Super League Grand Final with Leeds in 1998, and was a member of the Rhinos' Challenge Cup-winning team at Wembley in 1999. "I've never once regretted it," he said. "I love the place and I'd like to play on and on and on in the Oldham jersey but my body is getting older and I've got to start thinking about the future." St Hilaire also won two caps for England and was a member of the England rugby union sevens team at the 2002 Commonwealth Games.
