Keiron Cunningham has a point to prove at St Helens

St Helens coach Keiron Cunningham is determined to prove his critics wrong after coming under fire from the club's supporters.
Last Friday's 26-4 home defeat to Warrington was Saints' third successive Super League loss and left them six points adrift of the top four.
A chorus of boos rang around Langtree Park when Cunningham was highlighted on the big screen after the game, but the club's former captain and hooker remains determined to win the fans over.
"Being a local lad, the club means a hell of a lot to me," said the 39-year-old.
"I'm used to the criticism. I've been called rubbish since I was 17, since I first signed for this club. I was told I was never going to be big enough to make the grade.
"I have a point to prove to certain supporters. It's something which has been part and parcel of my sporting life since I was a junior at the club.
"All it does is add fuel for me and it's always been fuel since I started my playing career.
"I've also been told I'm a rubbish coach and would do nothing at Saints but all it does is give me extra motivation."
