Winger could extend stay with St Helens

St Helens winger Francis Meli has confirmed the Super League club have offered him a new one-year contract. The 33-year joined from the Auckland Warriors in 2005 and has scored 122 tries in 189 appearances. Meli is thrilled the club want him to stay on and he believes there is a good chance terms will be finalised. "Saints have offered me [a deal] to stay another year, I'm really humbled," explained Meli. "I've been here a long time and I've enjoyed my time so we're talking things through and hopefully it's positive."
