Dislocated elbow curtails centre's availability
The Salford City Reds will be without centre Ashley Gibson for the remainder of the season after dislocating his elbow on Friday.
The former Leeds Rhinos man suffered the blow in Salford's 30-20 loss to the Huddersfield Giants and will play no further part this term.
The loss of the 25-year-old is yet another blow for coach Phil Veivers, who has seen his depleted squad suffer four successive Super League defeats.
"We really are starting to run out of bodies," he told the
Manchester Evening News. "That's another frontline back gone with Gibbo ruled out.
"And this is not what you want especially when the next game is Wigan away. We somehow have to try to keep going."
