Joe Arundel has committed his future to the Wakefield Trinity Wildcats by signing a new two-year deal.
The centre joined Wakefield in February, after agreeing his release from Hull FC, and went on to become a regular member of Brian Smith's first-team squad, scoring four tries in 23 appearances.
Arundel started his career with Castleford in 2010 before leaving the Tigers for Hull in 2013, but he was unable to force his way into their squad on a regular basis and spent most of 2014 on loan with Bradford.
He said: "It is a fresh start for me and I cannot wait.
"I am looking forward to getting a proper pre season under my belt as I have not had one in three years, I want to make sure I get some quality work done with the coaching staff in pre season."
Smith has been impressed with what he has seen from Arundel and is delighted to have him on board.
"Joe provided a solid stability throughout the latter part of last season," Smith said. "We are keen to see how the physical development of a big off season working on skills and his time in the gym pays off for big Joe."
