Bill Tupou has signed a two-year contract extension at Wakefield Wildcats to keep him at the club until 2018.
Tupou, who joined the Wildcats from NRL side Canberra Raiders in 2015, has made only three appearances this season after suffering an ankle injury.
The 25-year-old said it was not a difficult choice and he is pleased to be part of head coach Chris Chester's plans for the future.
"I am very happy. It was a very easy decision for me and my partner. I came here around June last year and everything just clicked from there," he said.
"Chezza [Chris Chester] is a good coach. He has brought the team together and by the looks of it everyone wants to stay because of him. Everyone is performing because of Chezza.
"I don't think I have played for him yet with my injury but he has seen a few of my games and he wants me to stay on."
Tupou is the third Wakefield player to have signed a contract extension in the past two weeks, following Chris Annakin and Mika Simon.
