Wakefield full-back Max Jowitt has signed a new three-year contract that will keep him at the club until the end of the 2021 season.

The 21-year-old, who came through the academy and made his debut in 2014, has gone on to score nine tries in 46 appearances for Trinity.

Jowitt, who is battling Scott Grix for the No 1 role, is determined to make the full-back position his own.

"I am really happy to have signed," he said. "Three years means that I can cement my place here at the club and hopefully secure that full-back spot over the next couple of years."

Wakefield head coach Chris Chester believes Jowitt has what it takes to become a Super League regular.
