Vince Mellars has become the latest Crusaders player to find a new club for 2012, signing a three-year contract at Wakefield.

Vince Mellars has become the latest Crusaders player to find a new club for 2012. The 27-year-old-centre has become the Wakefield Trinity Wildcats' latest signing on a three-year contract. Mellars has spent two years at the Crusaders featuring in 41 games so far and scoring 16 tries. The New Zealander has a wealth of NRL experience behind him having played for the New Zealand Warriors, Cronulla Sharks and Sydney Roosters. "I'm very happy to be coming to Wakefield and I'm really looking forward to the next three years here. It's a big relief to have my future sorted and I'm very pleased that it's here at the Wildcats," he said.

Awesome place

With the announcement of the new Super League licence and a fantastic future ahead of them, I can't wait to be a part of great things at Wakefield. Wildcats Chief Executive James Elston added: "We are thrilled to have secured Vince's signature for the next three years. He is an incredibly talented player and certainly knows how to get over the try line "He is a dynamic and versatile player and his presence in the Wildcats squad over the next three seasons will be a great boost.
