Warrington Wolves are struggling with a host of key injuries following their Challenge Cup final defeat by Hull FC.

England forward Ben Westwood and half-backs Kurt Gildey and Chris Sandow have all been ruled out of Warrington's Super League match with Catalans Dragons, live on Sky Sports this Saturday, with injuries sustained at the weekend.

Having led 10-0 at Wembley, Warrington were pegged back to 12-10 by Hull and spurned a crucial opportunity with two minutes to go as they agonisingly lost out.

Stand-off Kurt Gidley had to come off with 22 minutes remaining because of a lacerated eye. He will have scans to determine whether there is an eye socket injury.

Sandow completed the 80 minutes but picked up a knee injury at Wembley and will also undergo scans to ascertain the extent of the damage.

Second-row Ben Westwood tore a pectoral muscle during the second half of the final and is unlikely to play again this season.

"He'll see the consultant but almost certainly needs some sort of operational repair," said Warrington coach Tony Smith of Westwood.

"We're pretty confident that will rule him out for the rest of the season, which is a blow but he'll be back stronger for next year."

All three players will miss Warrington's trip to France for the match-up against Catalans Dragons in Perpignan.
