Warrington utility player Stefan Ratchford will spend the next three months on the sidelines after being told he needs to undergo shoulder surgery.
The 23-year-old injured his shoulder in his side's 26-18 Stobart Super League defeat at Leeds on Friday night.
A club spokesperson said: "Following an assessment of his shoulder, Warrington Wolves can confirm that Stefan will undergo surgery this evening and is expected to be out for up to 12 weeks."
Ratchford has been an ever-present since joining the Wolves from Salford in the close season.
