Veteran charged with striking in Tigers clash

Hull scrum-half Sean Long is facing a five-match suspension after being charged with a grade D offence of intentional striking. The former St Helens player was dismissed by referee James Child, who came in for stinging criticism from Hull coach Richard Agar. The RFL are still awaiting the match commisioner's report and will decide on Wednesday whether Agar will face a change of bringing the game into disrepute. Long, who had only just returned to the field after being sin-binned for fighting, will face the Rugby Football League's disciplinary committee on Tuesday along with Castleford centre Willie Isa, who made dangerous contact with Hull forward Epalahame Lauaki in Friday's game. Meanwhile, Wigan prop Jeff Lima has been cited for a dangerous tackle on Leeds second-rower Chris Clarkson. The New Zealand international was sin-binned by referee Richard Silverwood following the incident and has been charged with a grade-B offence. He could face a ban of one or two matches in his first season in Super League. He missed the World Club Challenge earlier in the season after receiving a two-match ban for a 'chicken-wing' tackle.
