Experienced forward signs one-year extension

Andy Lynch is almost certain to end his career with Hull FC after signing a one-year contract extension with the Black and Whites. The ex-Bradford Bulls man joined the East Yorkshire side in September on a two-year deal and has greatly impressed. Lynch's extension will keep him at the KC Stadium throughout the 2014 season. The in-form forward is delighted with the club's progress on the field under coach Peter Gentle and believes they can challenge for honours.

Culture

"I have loved every minute of my time at the club so far and I can't think of a better place for me to finish my career and hopefully with a few successful years," he told the club's official website. "We're not only building a competitive squad with some quality players and professionals, but we're building an entire new club and culture and it's an exciting change to be part of. "I have no doubt that we can challenge for honours, even this year with a fully fit squad we have shown we're not afraid of anyone and in Peter and his coaching staff we have the right people to take us forward. "There is nowhere I would rather be right now and I'm excited to see what the next few years will hold." Gentle added: "Andy epitomises the type of player we want at this club, he is hard-working, committed, professional and understands the role he needs to play at training, during games and within the rugby league community."
