Harlequins have confirmed prop Matt James has quit the club after becoming unsettled in the capital.
The 22-year-old had joined Quins in September from Bradford Bulls and was named on the bench for the first three games of the season.
However despite signing a two-year deal, James has now left the Stoop after he "cancelled his contract with the club by mutual consent".
James, who spent a spell on loan at Halifax last season, has told the Quins that he wants to play in the north
A statement from the club read: "Harlequins Rugby League wish Matt all the best in his future career."
