Promising prop to spend 2011 in London
Harlequins have signed Leeds prop Luke Ambler on a season-long loan deal for 2011.
The 20-year-old made nine appearances for the Rhinos this year following his move from Salford, and represented Ireland in the recently concluded European Cup.
He will follow a well-trodden path to Twickenham after Leeds full-back Ben Jones-Bishop spent the whole of the 2010 season with Quins, while Carl Ablett and Luke Burgess have also been on loan to the London club.
"I think over the years the club has realised that players who go to Quins come back better players and better people from the experience," said Leeds coach Brian McDermott, who was in charge of Harlequins up to the end of the season.
Quins' acting head coach Rob Powell said: "We are grateful to Leeds for sending Luke down to join us next season and we hope the relationship between the two clubs can continue.
"Luke is a talented young player who is enthusiastic about coming down and starting training next week."
