Prop to remain at Twickenham Stoop for another season

Veteran prop Karl Temata has signed a new contract to remain at Harlequins for the 2012 Super League season. The New Zealander, who represented the Cook Islands in the 2000 World Cup, has been with the London club since September 2005. His new deal will make him the longest-serving player at the club. Although Luke Dorn signed for Quins before Temata, he had spells at Salford and Castleford before moving back to the capital in 2009. Harlequins coach Rob Powell said: "It's great to re-sign Karl, who has been one of our most consistent performers over the last few years. "He is still one of the strongest props in Super League and it's good to have someone that has been with us for a while to balance the new players in the squad."
