Skipper faces eight-match ban
Huddersfield captain Chris Thorman will face the Rugby Football League's disciplinary panel on Tuesday after being charged with biting the finger of an opponent.
The utility back was put on report by referee Steve Ganson during Sunday's Super League match against Bradford at the Galpharm Stadium.
Bulls full-back Michael Platt made the allegation during the last 10 minutes of his side's 25-24 defeat by the Giants.
Thorman, who scored a try, four goals and a drop goal in his side's win, could face a ban of up to eight matches if found guilty of the offence.
The controversial match saw four players sent to the sin bin and also brought the dismissal of Bradford centre Paul Sykes after he protested Ganson's decision to blow for time while the teams were preparing to pack down for a scrum.
Sykes has been charged with using foul and abusive language to a match official, a grade C offence which carries a ban of up to four matches.
But Bradford hooker Terry Newton, who was placed on report for allegedly hitting opposing loose forward Stephen Wild with a late challenge and performing a 'spear' tackle on Andy Raleigh, was cleared of any wrong-doing.
The RFL match review panel decided on Monday that Newton had no case to answer.
He is free to take his place in Bradford's side for their trip to Warrington on Friday, although he currently has an ankle injury.
Back-row forward Sam Burgess is to see a specialist to discover the extent of a shoulder injury sustained in the defeat by the Giants.
