Winger ruled out for at least six months by knee surgery
Bradford Bulls winger Dave Halley will miss the start of the 2011 engage Super League season after undergoing a knee reconstruction.
The 23-year-old, who can also play at full-back, faces at least six months on the sidelines as he recovers from torn cruciate ligaments, sustained during the Carnegie 9s at Headingley on August 25.
"Everybody is devastated for Dave," said Bradford football manager Stuart Duffy.
"It was an injury that looked pretty innocuous at first but it then became clear he would need a knee reconstruction.
"His operation has been a success and the club will ensure he gets the best treatment available so that we can see him back in action as soon as possible."
