If you play rugby league and your name is Burgess then there's a good chance you'll end up playing in the NRL.
What many thought would happen was confirmed earlier this month when Bradford Bulls youngster Tom Burgess announced he would be joining joins his twin brother George and older brothers Luke and Sam in playing for the South Sydney Rabbitohs.
Tom passed up the chance to join the famous Rabbitohs when George signed for them two years ago, preferring instead to try his luck in Super League, but in the end the lure of Sydney proved too much.
What player would turn down the opportunity of playing against the world's best in Australia's largest, oldest and most beautiful and liveable cities?
Burgess insists he did have offers to remain in Super League and following a lengthy decision-making process decided on trying to emulate his brothers' success Down Under.
Offers
"It wasn't inevitable but there was a good chance with three of them out there," he said. "I did have other offers here and I strongly thought about them as well.
"In fact I thought about it long and hard and spoke to a lot of people about it. It wasn't a decision I made overnight.
"I was going to stay here for a few more years but I just decided I wanted to get out there and get into the systems they've got.
"I just want to try to improve myself as a player and I think it is a bit of a step up.
"I've been out there three times and I do like the lifestyle and everything my brothers tell me about the beaches and stuff like that but the main reason is try to improve myself as a player.
"Obviously I miss my brothers a lot and, although I'm in contact with them every day, that contributed as well."
Job
Before he departs for Australia, Tom has some unfinished business at the Bulls, who still have designs on a first appearance in the play-offs for four years in spite of being docked six points for the club going into administration.
"I've still got a job to do here at Bradford," he said. "If we just keep going as we are, knocking these wins off week by week, I reckon we can do something special this year.
"It's something we've spoken about as a team. This group of players are probably not going to be together again if we're honest.
"We all want to do something together, so we can look back on it in 10 years and say it was something good we did."
