Prop forward Eamon O'Carroll has become Hull's fifth signing for 2012 after he agreed a three-year contract to move from Wigan.
The Ireland international missed out on selection for Wigan's Challenge Cup final team despite having recently made his comeback from a career-threatening sternum injury.
And he is now looking ahead to a fresh challenge at the KC Stadium.
"To be joining a club like Hull FC is massive," he said. "They are a huge club with a great history and a great fan base and I am very privileged to be joining them.
"I am looking forward to getting over there and getting into pre-season and it is a move that really excites me so I can't wait to get started."
