Catalans Dragons centre Ben Pomeroy will not play again this season after he was handed a six-match suspension.
The 31-year-old was sent off - for the second time in three matches - for a dangerous throw on Castleford centre Ashley Gibson during the Dragons' 44-26 win over the Tigers in Perpignan on Saturday.
It was the Australian's first game back from a one-match ban imposed for a shoulder charge in a match against St Helens earlier this month.
Pomeroy, who was charged by the Rugby Football League's match review panel with a grade E offence, pleaded guilty when he faced a disciplinary tribunal.
The former Cronulla player, who is out of contract at the end of the year, will miss the Catalans' remaining four matches of the Super 8s and the suspension will be carried over into next season.
Warrington prop Ashton Sims will also serve a second suspension of the season after admitting stamping on Wigan front rower Lee Mossop during his side's 28-0 defeat by the Warriors last Friday.
Sims, who served a ban for punching last month, was placed on report for his latest offence and was given a second one-match suspension.
Wakefield hooker Michael Sio accepted a one-match ban for a grade B dangerous tackle on Leigh full-back Gregg McNally during his side's 17-16 win over the Centurions at the Leigh Sports Village.
Leigh second-rower Kurt Haggerty was given a two-match ban and a £100 fine after pleading guilty to a grade B offence of striking Wakefield full-back Lee Smith.
