Captain kills off rumours of a switch to rivals Hull KR

Hull FC captain Lee Radford has committed his future to the club by signing a new two-year contract at the KC Stadium. The back-rower has recently been linked with a move to arch-rivals Hull KR but has now ended speculation over a possible exit. The 31-year-old will also coach the Black and Whites' Under-15s team as part of the deal that will see him stay at the club until the end of 2012. "Lee Radford is a loyal club man. He is a player that is consistent and plays lots of minutes for us," head coach Richard Agar said. "His experience in leadership is invaluable to the group and I am delighted to have Lee's influence within our squad." Radford led Hull to the Challenge Cup final two years ago and has made 161 appearances over the course of two spells at his home-town club. "Obviously I am delighted to have secured my future with Hull FC," Radford said. "I have really enjoyed my rugby this year and, when you look at the additions we have made to this year's squad and Richard's plans for the future, it really excites me and I want to be part of that squad, challenging for honours."
