Rovers add Salter to squad

Hull KR have given 18-year-old academy centre Liam Salter his first professional contract.

Youngster handed 12-month deal for next season

Hull KR academy graduate Liam Salter has been given his first professional contract by the club. A former Myton Warriors amateur who came through Rovers' scholarship scheme, Salter, 18, has signed a 12-month deal. He becomes the first member of the club's academy to be promoted to the first-team squad for 2012. "Our academy sides have performed very well this season and Liam is one of a number of players that have impressed with their attitude and their quality on the pitch," said Rovers head coach Justin Morgan. "It's a reward for all his hard work so far to get the professional contract and now Liam can look forward to being part of the first-team squad and learning from some very good outside backs we have here at the club."
