City Reds boss to replace departing centre
Salford City Reds coach Phil Veivers has expressed his disappointment at Sean Gleeson's decision to join Hull KR.
The Robins confirmed the capture of the 24-year-old centre on Wednesday on a three-year deal from the start of the 2013 Stobart Super League season.
The announcement of Gleeson's departure comes days after Salford sold half-back Matty Smith to league leaders Wigan Warriors.
Planning
Veivers has been planning and shaping his squad for the start of the new campaign next year and insists Gleeson is just another player the club now needs to replace.
"It is disappointing when any player decides he isn't staying. There is not a lot more I can say on the subject," Veivers told the
Manchester Evening News.
"It simply means this is another player we must try to replace for next season."
