Second-longest player to leave at the end of the season
Hull KR have confirmed Scott Murrell will be leaving MS3 Craven Park at the end of the season when his contract expires.
The 26-year-old joined ahead of the 2006 campaign and was a key part of the side that dominated National League One before defeating Widnes 29-16 in the Grand Final to secure promotion to Super League.
The one time Leeds Rhinos man is the club's second-longest player having made over 150 appearances for the East Yorkshire club.
Robins' chairman Neil Hudgell insists Murrell will always be welcome at the club, although he will be unavailable for selection for two weeks after fracturing a bone in his forearm in Friday's loss to the Bradford Bulls.

"Scott Murrell is hugely popular within the club, and the game generally," Hudgell told the club's
official website.
"He is of course a survivor from our National League days, and was a try scorer in that Grand Final success over Widnes.
"I would like to personally place on record my thanks to Scott for all his efforts down the years and he will always be welcome here.
"I am sure our fans will, at the right time, give him the send off he deserves."
