Jordan Johnstone has extended his contract at Widnes Vikings.
Johnstone has been one of the club's best players this season, making 14 appearances at hooker and half-back.
He told the club's official website: "I'm delighted to have secured my future at Widnes Vikings. I joined the club at the age of 17 and I love it here.
"We have a fantastic group of players and I have been offered great opportunities to develop my abilities, so I had no hesitation in making this decision.
"I am excited to see what we can achieve in the seasons ahead."
Widnes coach Denis Betts added: "It is really pleasing to see Jordan commit to the Vikings.
"Jordan took on a big challenge by moving to Widnes from Cumbria at a young age, and is now seeing the benefits of that bravery and hard work.
"He has made a fantastic contribution to the team this season and I am excited for his future, knowing that he has a lot more to give in the years to come."
