Ed Chamberlain signs new deal with Widnes Vikings

Widnes centre Ed Chamberlain has signed a new contract for 2018.
The 21-year-old academy product has made just four Super League appearances for the Vikings this year, having spent most of his time on loan to Workington, but remains part of Denis Betts' plans.
"I am pleased that Ed has chosen to extend his stay with Widnes Vikings for the 2018 Super League season," coach Betts said.
"Ed has been outstanding every time we have called upon him this year. He has matured as a player and gained a lot from his spells on loan.
"I know that Ed will be relishing the challenge of claiming a first-team spot for 2018."
