Castleford Tigers forward Matt Cook has signed a 12-month contract extension to stay at the club until the end of 2018.
The 29-year-old has been with the Tigers for two years since joining from the London Broncos, following a brief loan appearance with the club in 2008.
The forward has played in 29 games this season and scored a try in Castleford's final Super 8s victory over the Widnes Vikings, which helped them to finish fifth in the Super League.
Reacting to the news on Twitter, Cook said he was "over the moon to be extending his stay" at the club, adding: "Great club and great set of lads."
Castleford coach Daryl Powell said there was still more to come from the player: "Matt Cook has shown at the end of the season his potential as a player who is still growing.
"I expect him to be a big part of an outstanding pack over the coming seasons and I am delighted he has agreed to extend his contract."
Cook started his career with the Bradford Bulls in 2003 and has also played for Hull KR. Castleford also have the option to further extend Cook's contract, until 2019.
